About these terms

These terms apply to heating, plumbing, and gas engineering services provided by Smart Heat Limited of 403 Ipswich Rd, Colchester CO4 0HL. By booking work with us you agree to these terms.

Quotes and pricing

• Quotes are free and remain valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• Quoted prices cover the work described in the quote. If additional work or materials are needed once work has started, we will agree any extra cost with you before proceeding.
• Prices for advertised packages and offers may change; the price agreed in your written quote is the one that applies.

Bookings and access

You agree to provide safe access to your property at the agreed time. If we cannot access the property or the appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee.

Our work

• All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers in accordance with current UK regulations.
• We provide digital certificates and reports for safety checks and installations where applicable.
• Our workmanship is guaranteed; manufacturer warranties apply to appliances and parts, subject to the manufacturer's terms (for example, annual servicing requirements).

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. For larger installations we may ask for a deposit, which will be set out in your quote. Goods and materials remain our property until paid for in full.

Cancellation rights

If you book work at a distance (by phone, email, or online), you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within that period, you may be charged for the work done up to the point of cancellation. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Liability

We carry full public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for pre-existing faults or damage that was not caused by our work.
